In the 1990’s, Russell Peters was a well-connected DJ in the Toronto scene and also an aspiring b-boy dancer. A self proclaimed hip hop junkie, Russell recently worked on the NetFlix series Hip Hop Evolution where he is the Executive Producer. It is no secret that Russell loves hip hop and has a love for music. For this custom turntable, we combined this love with Russell's comedic background while showcasing visuals of his hometown of Brampton and Toronto. A custom turntable, a lathed cut disc with a 90's hip hop set from local Toronto DJ Plan B, and a slip mat with famous lines from Russell were part of the kit.
